Window into China is an early public alpha. The site uses basic product analytics to understand which categories and sources people open, whether pages work, and what should be improved first.

If you choose to follow updates, the site stores your email address, category preferences, referral information, and UTM parameters when present. This is used to prioritize source curation and send project updates if that feature is enabled.

Source cards route to third-party websites, embeds, or platforms. Those services have their own privacy policies and may collect data when you open them.
